If so, an opportunity to work with an integrated health care system based in east central Ohio is looking for someone to join their team.
The system is a not-for-profit with over 250 beds and has over 300 physicians and multiple outpatient care centers throughout the area.
The system is the largest provider in a six county region and a primary referral center.
It offers a higher level of service than what is typically found in a community of its size including open-heart surgery, trauma care, a Level II neonatal intermediate care unit, neurosurgery and
comprehensive cancer services.

Responsible for planning, staff development and quality management of the laboratory to maximize customer satisfaction and financial performance.  

Demonstrates vision and initiates changes to meet the future needs of the laboratory and/or organization.
Responsible for the laboratory charge master including accurate CPT coding.
Markets the laboratory outreach program, identifying new physicians and target areas.
Evaluates laboratory instrumentation/test methodologies with the goal of keeping the laboratory current with the most updated equipment utilizing cost efficiencies.
Clarifies and interprets both organization and department policies and procedures to promote understanding and consistency.
Oversees daily, quarterly, and as needed audits to ensure accurate billings.
Evaluates test volumes on a yearly basis comparing cost efficiencies of doing the testing in-house or referring to a reference laboratory.
Actively participates on Genesis committees.
Effectively communicates with the Pathologists keeping them aware of laboratory related issues.
Quality Indicators are reviewed and reestablished on a yearly basis.  The Quality Indicators are monitored on a monthly basis and protocols are put into place based on the results.

Masters degree with a minimum of 5 years laboratory experience required.
Needs to have MT ASCP.
Excellent interpersonal, decision-making, facilitation, conflict resolution, and investigative skills.
Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to provide outstanding customer service and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

The Lab Director will be over all areas of the lab including Chemistry, Pathology, Microbiology, Hematology, Blood Bank and Phlebotomy.
There is 2 managers, 6 senior lab techs(coordinators) and an administrative assistant plus supervise around 90 staff members.

The position is offering between 91K-125K. The position offers relocation and a great benefit package.
